BNI Life Open 2024 Successfully Held, BNI Life Insurance Supports Healthy Lifestyle Through Chess Tournament

PT BNI Life Insurance (BNI Life) successfully held the BNI Life Open 2024 chess tournament (non-master) in Jakarta on Saturday (27/1/2024).

The tournament, organized by BNI Life in collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Chess Association (Percasi DKI Jakarta), is committed to improving the quality of life for the community by actively participating in various sports activities, including chess.

The opening ceremony of this chess tournament was attended by Acting President Director of BNI Life, Eben Eser Nainggolan, and other members of the management team.

Eben stated that this chess tournament is the first of its kind organized by BNI Life. They see chess in Indonesia having an increasing enthusiasm among the community as a sport that stimulates thinking, intelligence, and strategy.

"BNI Life's involvement in this chess tournament not only reaffirms its commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle but also aims to interact directly with the community through various positive activities," said Eben.

The tournament aims to support the development of chess sports and provide opportunities for chess enthusiasts to compete and excel, as well as to search for chess athletes with a category for the age group of 15 years.

For your information, the chess tournament was attended by approximately 500 participants from various communities, not only chess communities in Jakarta but also participants from outside Jakarta competing for titles and attractive prizes.

This chess tournament is part of an initiative to encourage growth and appreciation of sports in the community.

"Through this tournament, we hope to provide opportunities for chess enthusiasts to showcase their talents and test their abilities, and we will evaluate the potential for future sustainable organization of larger-scale tournaments with even more participants," concluded Eben.
