PT BNI Life Insurance (BNI Life) held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders or AGMS on June 30, 2021. One of the decisions at the AGMS was the approval of the appointment of two new members of BNI Life's Board of Commissioners, namely Iwan Abdi who was appointed as Commissioner replacing Darwin Suzandi and Alwi Abdurrahman Shihab as Independent Commissioner replacing Husain Abdullah.

Previously Iwan Abdi served as Director of Business and Retail Networks at PT Bank BNI Syariah and also served as Head of the BNI Network Management Division. Meanwhile, Alwi Abdurrahman Shihab previously served as President Commissioner of PT Askrindo (Persero) and he has also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare.

Alwi Abdurrahman Shihab has passed the fit and proper test held by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in August 2021. Meanwhile, Iwan Abdi has also passed the same test in September 2021.

For the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors, Parikesit Suprapto, Henry C. Suryanaga, Shadiq Akasya and Eben Eser Nainggolan were reappointed on the same occasion on the agenda of the Annual GMS, so that the composition of the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors became:
