BNILife Still Relies on Bancassurance Channels.

KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT BNI Life Insurance is still relying on marketing through bancassurance this year. To date, the insurance marketing channel through this bank contributes around 70% of the total premium.

"This year we will maintain the contribution of the bancassurance channel by optimizing sales of existing insurance products," said BNI Life Director Neny Asriany to Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (18/3).

However, he estimates that bancassurance premiums will show a downward trend due to the corona virus outbreak. A number of BNI Life offices have been affected by corona so they cannot operate normally.

BNI Life is currently conducting a stress test or system test regarding the impact of this outbreak on the company's business. From there, the company is still looking at conditions to determine whether it plans to revise this year's targets or not.

As is known, BNI Life Insurance is targeting premium income of IDR 7.5 trillion throughout 2020. This value grew 59% from the 2019 premium achievement of IDR 4.7 trillion.

To achieve the target, BNI Life will increase synergy with the parent company, namely Bank BNI, then improve sales quality through training and more selective employee recruitment.

Apart from that, we also improve service to customers so that we hope they can recommend BNI Life to their relatives or friends.
